Nnenna Okereke
Seventh Grade P.E. Teacher and Athletic Director
Nnenna Okereke earned her B.A. in psychology from the University of San Francisco with an emphasis in child development. She grew up in Berkeley and has coached basketball and worked in education in the Bay Area since 2008. She worked at Black Pine Circle as an interim P.E.. teacher and also assisted the learning services team. Nnenna (the students call her Coach Nnenna), returns to BPC this year as the athletic director, 7th grade P.E. teacher and an advisor. In addition to her work at BPC, she is the high school varsity girls basketball coach at The Branson School in Ross, CA. She also works 1:1 with students as an academic coach, specializing in executive function skills. Working with children is her passion and she finds that exercise is a great way not only to stay healthy but also to find balance, a clear mindset, and an outlet when life throws you curveballs. Family and friends are very important to her, including her DOG-aughter, Delilah. She loves playing sports, hiking, traveling, learning new things, and of course her shoes! She brings a positive, uplifting spirit to the campus and is very excited to be back at BPC.
