BPC Mathletes Awarded 2nd Place in the East Bay Chapter Mathcounts Competition 2024!

For the second year in a row, the BPC Math Team (8th graders Kannan Ravikumar, Raman Ravikumar, Aoife Hennessey, and Shoshana Seplow) came in 2nd place in the 2024 Mathcounts Competition, which took place on Saturday, February 10. BPC was one of nine East Bay Area middle schools competing. Kannan Ravikumar came in second place individually and has advanced to the State competition in March. He was also the winner of the Countdown Round between the top eight competitors. Raman Ravikumar placed 5th individually and 3rd in the Countdown Round. Our mathletes, 8th graders Rani Sharp, Sadie Lubalin, Sattvik Supuram, Madi Knopick, and 7th graders Vidur Thammineni, Kaiyu Clemens, Yojan Patel, and David Gordon, placed among the top 25% of participants. The BPC Math Team has now advanced to the State Competition!
