6th Grade Math Teacher
The upper school math teacher is responsible for three periods of instruction each day, as well as being an advisor to an advisory group. This position will collaborate with members of the math department to refine curriculum, evaluate students, and monitor the efficacy of the program. Areas of emphasis will include coordination of grade-level math curriculum scope and sequence, thorough assessment with clear feedback loop, collaborative work with other faculty and all members of the upper school team.
Lower School (K-5) Assistant Teacher
Black Pine Circle assistant teachers work closely with a grade-level head teacher and meet regularly with the assistant teacher program leader. This position is responsible for assisting students one-on-one and in small groups both academically and socially, and works in collaboration with the head teacher to support positive classroom management and student engagement in all academic subjects. The assistant teacher helps prepare classroom materials and participates in weekly curriculum planning.
Lower School (K-5) Counselor
The lower school counselor will support Black Pine Circle’s counseling program for K-5 students. The counselor will consult with faculty and parents to enhance their effectiveness in helping students thrive. The lower school counselor is key in providing social and emotional and educational program support to students who need it.
