Maggie Hardy
Seventh Grade History Teacher
Maggie is a San Francisco native and proud middle school educator. She and holds a B.A. in political science and Latin American studies from UC Berkeley and a master’s in secondary education. Her master’s research focused on the impact of intercultural education on student achievement. She has taught middle and high school history and English as a foreign language in both public and private schools in the US and abroad. Before joining the BPC faculty, she taught seventh and eighth grade social studies at Episcopal Day School of St. Matthew in San Mateo. She has a passion for curriculum development and project-based learning. In particular, she loves teaching medieval world history through thoughtful classroom games, discussions, and projects. In her personal time, she enjoys climbing, hiking, gardening, knitting, and preventing the cat from stealing the baked goods she left on the kitchen counter.
