Grace Williams
Fourth Grade Head Teacher
Grace Williams received her B.A. from UC Santa Cruz in 2014. She began her teaching career working in immersion school environments in the U.S. before moving abroad. She spent two years teaching ESL to elementary students in France. Afterwards, she completed her masters at the University of Edinburgh with a focus on the effects of bilingual education on language acquisition. For the past four years, she has been teaching third grade at Sonoma Country Day School in Santa Rosa. She brings extensive experience with project-based learning and has trained with the Teachers College Reading and Writing Project, Illustrative Math, and the Pollyanna Racial Literacy Curriculum. She is a reflective practitioner and a trained mentor through CATDC. When not teaching, she enjoys swimming, hiking, and striving to keep a wide array of house plants alive. Next year will be Grace’s first at Black Pine Circle School. She is looking forward to joining such a dedicated and thoughtful community.
