Ke Williams
Kindergarten Head Teacher
Ke Williams fell in love with BPC when she began her career here as an assistant teacher in 2018 and has worked here ever since. She received her master’s in education and teaching credential from the Bay Area Teacher Training Institute (BATTI) in 2018. Prior to that, she earned a B.A. in liberal studies with a concentration in ethnic studies and early childhood literacy from San Francisco University. Ke loves supporting children in reaching their full potential and encourages a growth mindset. She strives to bring a warmth to her classroom that helps promote self-love and joy in learning. A Bay Area Native, Ke enjoys spending time by the ocean and taking in sweeping views from local mountain tops. She also loves volunteering, attending concerts with her son, Ethan, and playing with their dog, Yoshi. You might also catch her traveling abroad with her amour, Francis.
Why I Work with Children
I love having a hand in shaping our future, and children mold and shape me as well. I’m in awe by the amount of learning and growth that I experience from teaching and working with youth.
A Favorite Book
One of my favorite books is Zen Shorts by Jon J. Muth. I love how this book gives me something to ponder about. It challenges me to look at how I perceive things and how I interact with others and the world. I can often apply these short stories to my life, when I have to make a decision or when I notice myself judging someone or a situation. It often inspires me to come from a place of kindness and compassion. And it reminds me that its okay to not have all the answers.
