Owen Roberts
Kindergarten-Third Grade Music Teacher
Owen Roberts is a Level III Orff instructor in his 14th year as an elementary school music teacher and seventh year at BPC. While completing his multiple subject teaching credential through the Bay Area Teacher Training Institute (BATTI), he taught in first and second grade classrooms as a support teacher at Marin Country Day School. Owen studied classics and international relations as an undergraduate, then spent 10 years playing in bands in Italy, New York, and back home in California. An accomplished singer and songwriter, Owen has toured extensively with bands and as a solo artist, and developed curricula for teaching songwriting to children. He has released multiple albums of original music spanning many genres, including rock, folk, electronic, and soul. He speaks Spanish and Italian fluently. Owen joined the BPC faculty in 2020.
