Grace Reinhalter
Kindergarten Assistant Teacher
Grace earned her B.A. in sociology from Occidental College and her child development associate teacher certificate from Merritt College. She has worked and played alongside children and young adults her entire life. Grace served as an Americorps Playworks coach for two years at Wilson Elementary School in Richmond then worked with transitional-age youth (16-24 year-olds) at the non-profit New Door Ventures teaching professional and life skills in SF and Oakland for nearly seven years. She returned to the school classroom setting in 2019 as an assistant teacher at The Berkeley School early childhood campus and taught at the late Montessori Family School’s (now East Bay Montessori) early childhood campus. Grace is passionate about creating collaborative, welcoming, inclusive, supportive environments where children feel empowered to explore, share ideas, and engage with their natural curiosity. Grace enjoys sunshine, walking, cooking and eating seasonal foods, traveling to warm destinations, swimming, and practicing and teaching yoga.
