Why I Work with Children
I love having a hand in shaping our future, and children mold and shape me as well. I’m in awe by the amount of learning and growth that I experience from teaching and working with youth.
A Favorite Book
One of my favorite books is Zen Shorts by Jon J. Muth. I love how this book gives me something to ponder about. It challenges me to look at how I perceive things and how I interact with others and the world. I can often apply these short stories to my life, when I have to make a decision or when I notice myself judging someone or a situation. It often inspires me to come from a place of kindness and compassion. And it reminds me that its okay to not have all the answers.
