6th Graders Fostering Environmental Literacy to Sustain Our Planet
Our 6th grade students spent four days at NatureBridge in the Marin Headlands, participating in hand-on environmental science programs in nature’s classroom. They learned about native plants and animals that live near the Headlands, and enjoyed a night hike, an exploration of climate change, and a visit to the Marine Mammal Center. Highlights included seeing five otters frolicking just 20 feet off shore, the campfire scat song, and bonding with classmates.
