Javi Quezada
Fifth Grade Assistant Teacher
Javi Quezada graduated from UC Berkeley with a B.S. in conservation and resource studies, with a concentration in conservation biology. They also earned a B.A. in social welfare, ensuring that their studies intersected their passion for environmental and social justice. As an undergrad, they conducted ecological research, worked as an elementary and high school Spanish tutor, and volunteered in a mentorship program for middle school students across the Bay Area. After graduating, Javi worked as a program coordinator and educator for a local environmental education non-profit, working towards the accessibility of nature-based science curricula in schools across Alameda and West Contra Costa Unified school districts. They have experience as an elementary educator teaching in classroom, nature-based summer camp, and outdoor classroom settings. Javi is a Bay Area native and enjoys spending time with friends and family, hiking, and exploring the beautiful West Coast. Javi is very excited to join the BPC community!
