BPC Participates in NaNoWriMo for 13th Consecutive Year

November was National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) and BPC participated for the 13th year in a row! ✍️
As part of the 4th & 5th grade curriculum, and as an optional extracurricular activity for our 6th-8th graders, students chose a word count of up to 50,000 words and wrote a novel by November 30.

On 11/9 BPC students gathered in the library for the annual NaNoWriMo Keep on Noveling Party! They were joined by special guest, published novelist & BPC teacher, Apollo Papafrangou.

Collectively, our young novelists put their all into the word sprints and wrote more than 5,000 words – go novelists!
Did you know that NaNoWriMo started as a Bay Area tradition?
We’re happy to share that it’s gone global 🌍
