Scott Phoenix

Partner, Fifty Years

Scott Phoenix is a partner at Fifty Years, a venture capital firm backing scientists and engineers solving the world’s biggest problems with technology. He was previously the co-founder and CEO of Vicarious, an artificial intelligence and robotics company acquired by Alphabet in 2022. Earlier in his career, he was an entrepreneur-in-residence at Founders Fund and a Y Combinator alum. He has published peer-reviewed research in Science, ICML, and NeurIPS, designed award-winning digital art and games, and authored multiple patents. Scott now serves as a board member and advisor to several hard tech startups and venture funds, supporting scientists working in AI, robotics, synthetic biology, quantum computing, brain-computer interfaces, and more.
