Patrice Wakeley

Director of Institutional Equity & Belonging, San Francisco Friends School

Patrice Wakeley is a dedicated educational leader with a strong commitment to fostering inclusive and equitable learning environments. Experienced in developing and implementing diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging strategies, providing academic and college counseling, and creating targeted support programs, she has worked to empower students from diverse backgrounds to achieve their full potential. She currently serves as the Director of Institutional Equity & Belonging at San Francisco Friends School (SFFS) and prior to her time at SFFS worked at Bishop O’Dowd High School where she held several roles including counselor, academic dean and equity practitioner. Prior to working in schools, she led programming at several youth focused non-profits tackling social justice issues related to college access, food justice, playspace inequity and access to outdoor spaces. Patrice holds a BA in English & History from the University of Miami and an MA in Counseling from Loyola Marymount University.
