Jase Turner

Head of School

Jase Turner joins Black Pine Circle School as head of school with over 15 years of experience in independent school education and leadership, spanning preschool through high school. Most recently, he served as assistant head of school for strategic priorities at The Seven Hills School in Walnut Creek, where he led initiatives in curricular innovation, student well-being, and equity and belonging. A Bay Area native, Jase grew up in Oakland and holds a B.A. in sociology from Pomona College and an M.A. in leadership studies from Saint Mary’s College of California. He began his career in education after time as a professional baseball player and has served in roles including classroom teacher, advisor, coach, and administrator. Jase is passionate about student-centered learning, inclusive community building, and supporting students in reaching their full potential. He lives in Berkeley with his family, and enjoys playing basketball, traveling, spending time with family and friends, and cheering on his daughters in what they love. He is excited to join the BPC community and to help guide the school’s next chapter with care and purpose.
