Evan Jackson

Director of Technology

Evan Jackson has always enjoyed the intersection of technology and education and is excited to join Black Pine Circle School this year. Evan has worked in public, independent, and charter schools as a teacher, coach, and administrator. Originally from Philadelphia, he moved to the Bay Area to teach special education in OUSD for the Technology and Augmentative Communication for Learning Enhancement (T.A.C.L.E.) Middle School Program. He then made the transition to independent schools as a teacher and administrator, working for six years at Cathedral School for Boys in San Francisco. As his family grew, they headed back to the East Coast, where Evan was director of technology at AIM Academy, a 1st-12th grade independent school just outside Philly that serves students with language-based learning differences. When Evan and his family returned to the Bay Area in 2020, Evan became the associate director of technology for KIPP Public Schools – a charter school organization that runs over 18 schools in and around the Bay Area – before coming to BPC in 2022. When not working, Evan can be found going for walks on hidden paths, playing board games and role playing games with his two kids, or playing with a new gadget.
