Showing Our East Bay Pride

BPC marched in the Oakland Pride Parade for the first time!

Our 8th grade students in the Sexuality and Gender Alliance club created the banner that we used to represent Black Pine Circle School with the tagline, “Anybody can be an Ally.” Parents, faculty, and students of all ages came together to show our school’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. We had a great turnout and it was wonderful to see the BPC community be part of such a meaningful event.

It is the mission of Oakland Pride to celebrate the cultures and diversity of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer community in the East Bay.
