Upper School Office Manager
Born and raised in the foothills of the Himalayas in India, Sonam Gonsar moved to California in 1992 as part of the One Thousand Tibetans Resettlement Project. She completed her B.A. in English in India, and taught ESL for a year. Before coming to Black Pine Circle School, she enjoyed working as a teacher’s assistant at Hillcrest School in Oakland. She enjoys community service and learning about different cultures. Ms. Gonsar joined Black Pine Circle School in 2004.

I enjoy supporting and seeing the growth in students on a daily basis.
A Favorite Book
The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein. I appreciate how this simple-seeming children’s book depicts the importance of generosity in a way that all ages can comprehend and benefit from.
