Dr. Hasan Kwame Jeffries Visits BPC

Last month, BPC hosted nationally renowned Civil Rights scholar and author Hasan Kwame Jeffries for a conversation with our teachers on how to better understand and teach the Civil Rights Movement in 2021. 

Dr. Jeffries is associate professor of history at The Ohio State University where he teaches courses on the Civil Rights and Black Power Movement. He has authored several publications on this and other topics, and as part of his virtual visit, faculty spent time with him focused on a collection of essays by leading civil rights scholars and teachers that he edited, Understanding and Teaching the Civil Rights Movement (The Harvey Goldberg Series for Understanding and Teaching History).
