New! The Jaguar's Den
BPC students have proudly launched a new magazine this year, The Jaguar’s Den, named after our school’s mascot.
Inspired by The New Yorker magazine, our 6th graders designed, created, and wrote articles in their Community Time six-week class, taught by 6th grade English teacher Maria Palmer and 6th grade music teacher Cheryl Sumsion.
The Jaguar Journal: December Holiday Edition
The Jaguar Journal Club (2nd–5th grade), run by 2nd grade assistant teacher Jamie Xayachack, meets weekly on Friday lunchtimes to brainstorm ideas and create the monthly magazine, The Jaguar Journal, for our K–5 families.
These zines give our students the opportunity to tap into their creativity, research ideas that interest them, and develop their storytelling skills and interview techniques.
