BPC Alum invited to The White House

Mina-POTUS

Mina Fedor, BPC class of 2022, was invited to the United We Stand Summit at The White House, where the focus was on combating white supremacy and hate across America. Mina was being honored as one of 16 Uniters. At the summit, Mina and her group were invited to join efforts through dignity.us (a non-partisan initiative announced at the United We Stand Summit).

As a 7th grader at BPC, Mina, along with some fellow students, founded AAPI Youth Rising, in response to an alarming rise in xenophobia and acts of violence against Asians in America. One of the first actions the organization took after the 2021 AAPI Youth Rising rally was to launch their ONE/180 pledge, which asks students, teachers, and schools to include at least one classroom lesson about AAPI history and culture within the 180 instructional days in the average school year.
