Carlee Jensen
Fifth Grade Head Teacher
Carlee received her B.A. in English from Yale University. She began her career as an assistant teacher in Greenwich, Connecticut and earned her master’s degree from Bank Street College of Education in New York City. At Bank Street, she developed a passion for progressive pedagogy and project-based learning that continues to inform her daily teaching practice. A lifelong creative writer, Carlee also holds an M.F.A. from Johns Hopkins University. During her decade-long career in education, she has worked at The Park School of Baltimore, Johns Hopkins University, and the Goucher Prison Education Partnership, among others. Outside the classroom, Carlee enjoys rock climbing, camping, admiring birds, and watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer with her wife and two cats. She is delighted to be joining the BPC faculty this year.
