Signe Van Slyke
Kindergarten Assistant Teacher
Signe Van Slyke is a recent graduate of the Bay Area Teacher Training Institute (BATTI), where she earned her preliminary teaching credential and master’s in education. Signe has a B.A. in theater arts from CSU, East Bay, and a master’s in acting from the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco. Signe has taught theater classes to youth from ages 8-18 and directed numerous school plays. Her passion for working with children in theater led her to pursue a full-time career in teaching. Prior to working at BPC, Signe worked as co-lead teacher and assistant teacher at Prospect Sierra. In her personal time, Signe loves to design jewelry, create art, watch old movies, and go on long walks with her husband and adorable dogs Rosie and Minchi.
