Shalini Sharp – Board Chair

Board Member and Advisor to Life Sciences Companies

Shalini Sharp is a board member and advisor to multiple public and private life sciences companies, including Organon & Co., Neurocrine Biosciences, Mahzi Therapeutics (Chair), and Septerna, Inc. She is also a member of the board of the Alameda County Community Food Bank and the National Council of the World Wildlife Fund. Previously, she was EVP and CFO of Ultragenyx Pharmaceutical Inc., a publicly traded biotechnology company committed to bringing to market novel products for the treatment of rare genetic diseases primarily affecting pediatric patients. Prior to that, she was CFO and board member of Agenus, a cancer immunology biotechnology company, held various roles at Elan Corporation plc, an Irish company working on neurological diseases, and was a management consultant at McKinsey & Company as well as an investment banker at Goldman Sachs, specializing in life sciences. She has also served as a board member of Mirati Therapeutics, Sutro Biopharma, TB Alliance, Precision Biosciences, Panacea Acquisition Corporation, Array Biopharma, and Agenus Inc. Ms. Sharp has both a B.A. and an M.B.A. from Harvard University. She resides in Berkeley with her husband and two children, one currently at Black Pine Circle School and one a recent alumnus.
