Lower School Spanish Teacher
Originally from Peru, Sara Huerta discovered her passion for education while working for nine years with the U.S. Peace Corps teaching Spanish conversation, composition, and linguistics to Americans. Mostly recently, she taught Spanish to middle schoolers at Millennium School in San Francisco. She is an enthusiastic, devoted teacher who values the experience of the student and strives to instill her passion for the Spanish language in others. Sara has a B.A. in English and French translation and interpretation from the Female University of the Sacred Heart in Lima, and an M.Ed. in management from the National University of Education Enrique Guzmán y Valle in Lima. In her personal time, Sara likes to travel and visit new places with her husband, read books and newspapers, listen to podcasts, cook Peruvian dishes, and eat ice cream. She joined the Black Pine Circle School faculty in February 2021.
