ED of Strategic Partnerships and Community Engagement for the UC Office of the President
Sandra Williams-Hamp is the Executive Director of Strategic Partnerships and Community Engagement for the University of California Office of the President. She provides leadership and oversight of key strategic partnerships that advance the university’s mission and commitment to excellence and equity. Mrs. Hamp has over 23 years of experience in K-12 and higher education. In addition, Mrs. Hamp served as the executive director of K-12 for the College Board Western Regional Office. The College Board is best known for the SAT®, AP®, and PSAT/NMSQT®. Mrs. Hamp was responsible for strategy and oversight of K-12 operations in the twelve western states. As a recognized leader in assessment and college readiness, she worked extensively with districts and state leaders to develop strategies to drive academic excellence and college opportunities. Mrs. Hamp has worked with some of the nation’s largest school districts, including Los Angeles, Oakland, San Francisco, and Clark County to improve academic achievement through professional development, assessments, and strategic K-12 partnerships.
Mrs. Hamp is deeply committed to issues of access and diversity in higher education for all students, especially foster youth and first-generation college students. A native of Berkeley, she received her B.A. from the UC Berkeley and M.S. in education from California State University, Hayward. She resides in Pinole with her husband and son Timothy who attends Black Pine Circle School.
