Why I Work with Children
I believe we’re in the golden age of children’s literature–new authors and illustrators addressing more diverse topics. The library is a place for discovery; a place to escape to fantastic places, to meet famous and infamous characters, to have amazing adventures, and to learn about our world. Reading encourages curiosity, imagination, fresh ideas and perspectives. It’s inspiring to watch this happen for children.
