Kindergarten Assistant Teacher
Meg McCarthy grew up in Los Angeles and graduated from Saint Mary’s College with a degree in liberal and civic studies, as well as a minor in psychology. Before moving to the Bay Area, she worked for four years as a teacher’s aide in kindergarten and fourth grade at Holy Family School in South Pasadena. She is currently pursuing a teaching credential with the goal of becoming an elementary school teacher. She loves to read, go to the movies, hike, be by the ocean, and do crossword puzzles when she’s not at BPC. The past two years she has enjoyed working in the Extended Daycare Program and creating wonderful memories with each and every student. Ms. McCarthy is very excited to begin her third year at BPC, this time in the kindergarten classroom!
Why I Work with Children
I love interacting with children because they teach me how to be a good person and show me a different way of looking at the world!
A Favorite Book
The Harry Potter series, which shaped who I am today. I love these books because they remind me to always look for the magic in everything.
