Sixth Grade Math Teacher
Leevert Holmes is a Los Angeles transplant after spending two decades on the East Coast. He received his BA in African-American studies and government from Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut. Mr. Holmes’ career in education began as a New York City Teaching Fellow at Fordham University where he received a masters in education with a certification in special education. His seventeen years in education includes teaching mathematics to elementary, middle, and high-school students in New York City and Palo Alto. When not teaching, he is avidly reading the New York Times, “digging” for records at Amoeba, cooking and traversing throughout Bay Area parks with his squirrel-loving jack russell/rat-terrier dog Marley.
