Kanoelani Connor
First Grade Head Teacher
Kanoe Connor earned her B.A. in psychology from the University of California at Santa Cruz, and her M.A. in education from the University of San Francisco. In 1998, she began teaching kindergarten, and co-teaching first grade at Presidio Hill School in San Francisco. After teaching in the city for four years, Kanoe taught kindergarten for 15 years at St. Paul’s Episcopal School in Oakland. She loves spending time with her 17-year-old daughter, Nanea, and her two-year-old black lab, Obi. Kanoe also enjoys going to the beach, dancing, music, art, traveling, eating good food, and playing volleyball. Kanoe joined the Black Pine Circle School faculty in 2017.
Why I Work with Children
Children teach me how to be a better person and when I am with them, we laugh a lot!
A Favorite Book
The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein because the tree was selfless and had so much love for the boy.
