Eileen Duncan
Third Grade Head Teacher
Eileen Duncan received a B.S. in human development from UC Davis, holds a California multiple subject teaching credential with a supplemental authorization in English language arts from San Francisco State University, and has significant training in the area of equity and inclusion. Before joining Black Pine Circle in 2013, Ms. Duncan taught in both public and independent Bay Area schools; these included E. Morris Cox Elementary, Chabot Elementary School, and Julia Morgan School for Girls. Her experience includes teaching preschool, third grade, fifth grade, seventh grade pre-algebra, and sheltered English instruction. Ms. Duncan is a Berkeley native and a single mother by choice. She loves venturing to the garden, local beaches, and alpine lakes with her son. Before motherhood, she ran marathons, read a lot more, led volunteer service trips maintaining trails in the Sierra backcountry, and hiked the John Muir Trail nearly three times (She would love to help you plan for an upcoming thru-hike!).
