Corinne Allen

Upper School Math Specialist, Seventh Grade Learning Specialist

Corinne Allen received her B.A. in computer science from Mills College. She spent a brief period working in tech and then, having already taught self-defense and empowerment courses to women and girls with Impact Bay Area for a number of years, she found her way into independent schools to empower students in the classroom. She taught technology, science, and math at Julia Morgan School for Girls for 11 years, and math at Prospect Sierra for three years. She joined the Black Pine Circle faculty as the distance learning facilitator during the 2020-2021 school year, and as the math and learning specialist, Corinne strives to embody a growth mindset and nourish confidence and a positive relationship to learning in all her students. She is currently working on a master’s degree in educational therapy at Notre Dame de Namur University. Corinne is an East Bay Native, and in her personal time, she is likely to be found trail running or playing in the hills with her son and her dog.
