Upper School Distance Learning Facilitator
Corinne Allen is an East Bay Native, and when she is not teaching, you can find her playing in the hills with her son and her dog. She received her BA in computer science from Mills College. After a brief stint working in tech, she found her way into independent schools, where she has worked since 2006, teaching technology, science, and math at Julia Morgan School for Girls 11 years, as well as math at Prospect Sierra School for three years. As the pandemic changes the landscape of education, she is excited to be learning alongside students and colleagues in exploring the variety of ways that learning can happen remotely. Her goal is to amplify the unique opportunities, as well as to mitigate the inevitable challenges, presented by distance learning. She particularly enjoys supporting students in math, and strives to embody a growth mindset and to nourish confidence and a positive relationship to learning in all her students.
