Classroom Support Staff
Carina Silva was born and raised in the East Bay. She actively participates and works within her 510 community with a focus on youth work. Ms. Carina attended San Francisco State University and assisted first-generation incoming freshmen with their college navigation. While at university she became a math and English tutor for college and middle school students. She also worked with Girls Inc. Of Alameda County as a college-readiness counselor and summer program leader. Ms. Carina was a volunteer for The Mosaic Project and spent much of her time teaching social justice, empathy, and problem resolution to fourth and fifth graders. As the new classroom support for fourth grade at BPC, she is looking forward to beginning the year engaging the students through distance learning. When Ms. Carina is not working, she likes to take herself to the beach, visit local coffee shops, and read.
