Brett Hollingshead
Upper School Physical Education Teacher
“Coach Brett” earned a B.S.E. in mechanical and aerospace engineering at Cornell University, and his M.A. in educational psychology division of learning and instruction at UCLA. While studying, Brett was profoundly influenced by his advisors Merlin Wittrock, the founder of generative theory of learning, and Mihalyi Czikszentmihalyi, the founder of flow theory and positive psychology. He moved to the Bay Area in 2012 and joined Black Pine Circle School in 2022.
