Brett Hazlett
CFO/CAO SFMade, Inc. and PlaceMade
Brett Hazlett is the chief financial and administrative officer of the nonprofit companies SFMade, Inc. and PlaceMade which seek to sustain and create job opportunities for the low-income communities and individuals of San Francisco by engaging companies who are headquartered and manufacture in the city. Mr. Hazlett provides leadership for all administrative and operational aspects of the organizations and also provides consultative services to SFMade member companies in the areas of strategy, finance, supply chain, and operations. He also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of 150 Hooper LLC, an entity which holds real estate for the purpose of renting to manufacturing companies at competitive rates which enable them to maintain their manufacturing facilities in San Francisco. Previously, Mr. Hazlett was the managing partner for a strategic and financial advisory services firm and a financial executive for Fortune 500 companies in the pharmaceutical and retail industries, serving most recently as vice president of finance at Levi Strauss and Company. He is also an adjunct professor of corporate finance in the M.B.A. in Design Strategy program at California College of the Arts. Mr. Hazlett received his M.B.A. from Purdue University in 1999 and his B.S. degree with distinction, also from Purdue, in 1998.
